The "Sticky Bandits" Are Coming to Long Island
"UH OH! It says on the cover! Looks like someone [is making] a mess..." And, it's on! Home Alone Weekend 8 makes its return to New York on December 13th. The setting shifts, the mood morphs, and the crew camps on Long Island, removed from the confines and narrow walls of 2025 Broadway in favor of refreshed digs at Ma Connors and strings of (empty) wine bottle art designed within her abode. The truths: stoked fire, thick nog, flowing vino, Xmas movies, and of course Cauley Mac will set the stage. Introducing newbies: animals CougarM, JTerd, and Bafanut will all reach out for their first HA Weekend, only 7 years behind schedule.
Come one, come all! HAW8 is coming...

Where Am I Now?
I figured I'd drop in and comment. This is from AOL's recent "where are they now" segment about one of my totally sweet bestest ever films, Home Alone.
ME:
(Then)
"Then: Mac's turn as precocious robber-bashing
8-year-old Kevin McCallister made him perhaps the most famous -- and definitely the highest-paid -- child star ever. But after a trio of box-office flops in 1994 and a very public custody battle between his parents in '95, he disappeared from the limelight."
(In-between)

(Now)
"Now: He resurfaced on 'Will and Grace' in 2001 and made the leap back into movies two years later as a homicidal drag queen (seriously) in 'Party Monster.' He also wrote the semi-autobiographical novel 'Junior' and can next be seen in the indie 'Sex and Breakfast.' Oh, and he's now dating actress Mila Kunis."
Peace hatas,
MC

MC in the News today!
Mila Kunis says Culkin cooks every night
Tue Oct 9, 5:22 AM ET
Put away your assumptions about Macaulay Culkin. The former child star's girlfriend says he's a homebody. Culkin, star of the 1990 comedy "Home Alone," has been dating actress Mila Kunis for nearly six years; Kunis, who co-starred on TV's "That 70's Show," says they make a low-key couple.
"We enjoy each other's company," the 24-year-old actress says in an interview on Parade.com. "We like to read books or play video games or watch TV or go to the movies. And he's an amazing cook. He makes dinner every night."
Culkin made headlines several years ago when he was arrested in Oklahoma City on misdemeanor charges of possessing medication without a prescription and marijuana. He later pleaded guilty and was given a deferred sentence.
Kunis says Culkin, now 27, is more mature than people might think.
"He's an amazing, simple guy, who is probably the most brilliant person I've ever met," Kunis gushes. "He's so, so smart and so aware and so kind and so sweet. Unfortunately, that's not what people want him to be, so they write stuff."
Kunis says journalists misconstrue facts — or "just make stuff up" — about their relationship.
"At one point, they were like, `Seen shopping in Beverly Hills for engagement rings,'" she says. "We were in Japan working. What is wrong with these people?"
Kunis, who recently appeared in the film "Moving McAllister," will next be seen in the upcoming comedy "Forgetting Sarah Marshall." She portrayed princessy Jackie Burkhart for eight years on "That 70's Show," where her brunette beauty was prominently on display.
But Kunis is no girly girl.
"Listen, I am such a nerd," she says. "I'm not one of those girls that goes, `Ha, ha, hee, hee. I'm a nerd.' No, no, no — my brain mentality is the same as a 12-year-old little boy. The video games that I play, the things that I like to watch — I'm a Trekkie."

Home Alone 7 Notice
It's Home Alone Weekend time! Another year, another HA Weekend on the horizon. Home Alone Weekend 7 will be held in Ohio. After several years - dating back to Dec. 2000 with the planting of the seed in Gambier, Ohio, and with a few stops in between (New York for many years, San Francisco last year) - Home Alone, the weekend, will be returning to Ohio. Cincinnati will play host to national travelers, delirious students, and local scrubs. The House on Hosea will be open to all the first weekend in December. So let us join Cauley MacCulkin in igniting the Christmas fire, stoking the flames, and bringing on the merry cheer. Xmas movies, egg nog, and a line of so many empty vino bottles should entice anyone.
Keep an eye on New Zealand, LCI, and the 'Ham (since this year's Bloody Mary Tour and Christmas movie extravaganza couldn't find coinciding schedules) as the sites of future Christmas launch-pads.
